Search Tips

The search feature located in the left hand navigation bar can be a useful tool when the following procedures are followed:

• Please be aware that only fly shop will be searched, not the entire site.
• Model numbers make excellent search terms.
• Be specific, but use as few keywords as possible. For example, if searching for the Sage 484-3 SPL fly rod the most effective search term would be "484-3." Using "Sage" as a search term will bring up ALL Sage products. Using "SPL" as a search term will return ALL SPL's...and so on.
• Remember that any instance of any keyword will return a result. Using "Sage fly rods" as a search term will return ALL fly rods, not just Sage fly rods.
• If your search returns too many products, try again with fewer search terms (ie. keywords).
• Search for phrases by enclosing the phrase in quotation marks.
• Using a keyword such as "fly" will inevitably return too many products (ie. fly rods, fly reels, fly lines).
